Happy Birthday Idu

A surprise birthday cake for Idu my colleague, celebrated on 29th October. I got to know the date from my facebook diary.

surprise!!!!!! her name written on the cake...couldn't believe she got a suprise birthday cake on her 25th 'coz she never had one after so long... cutting the cake carefully to keep her name intact... hehehehe... with me and Tity...me and Andrian...Tity and Andrian...
and Andrian treated us 'Nasi Goreng Kampung Orang Kaya'...

Kuih Raya - Cornflakes Cookies

I've tried this cornflake cookies recipe which is collected from an Indonesian blog owned by Ina Larizz and to my tastebud... two thumbs up! Everyone in the house like it. Originally the recipe owned by Ibu Djoko and shared by Dapur Syl.
Cornflake Cookies

Bahan:
400 gram butter kalengan - 400 gm canned butter (I used normal butter)
200 gram gula pasir - 200 gm sugar (I used castor sugar of confectionery sugar)
400 gram terigu - 400 gm flour
250 gram cornflakes - 250 gm cornflakes
2 kuning telur - 2 yolks
1 sdt vanili cair - 1 tsp vanilla essence

Cara membuat:
Kocok butter kalengan, gula, telur, dan vanili sampai putih.
Beat butter, sugar, yolks and vanilla essence until creamy.
Lalu masukkan sedikit demi sedikit tepung terigu hingga rata.
Gradually add in flour and fold in thoroughly.
Kurangi kecepatan mixer ke bagian yang terendah, lalu masukan cornflakes. Jangan terlalu lama, karena cornflakes akan hancur.
Turn mixer to the lowest speed, and add in cornflakes. Do not too long, cornflakes will crush badly.
Bentuk adonan dengan tangan sesuai selera (ina pake dua sendok, dicowel cowel).
Adonan pun siap di panggang.
Shape to desire and bake.

Kuih Raya - Almond Cookies

Malam ni masih rajin, dah siap dah almond cookies. Resipi ambil dari majalah lama, suruh Along salinkan kat kertas. Sebab bahan ringkas dan semua bahan ada dalam simpanan, layan je la... jom tengok.

Biskut Badam
1 biji kuning telur / 1 egg yolk
180g mentega / butter
180g tepung gandum / all purpose flour
150g tepung jagung / corn flour
113 gula ising / icing sugar
4 sudu besar badam kisar / 4 tbsps grounded almond

Hiasan / Glazing
Kuning telur / egg yolk
Badam hiris / almond sliced

Cara menyediakan:
Putarkan mentega dan gula hingga kembang. / Beat butter and sugar till fluffy.
Masukkan telur, tepung gandum, tepung jagung dan badam kisar kemudian kacau rata hingga menjadi doh lembut. / Add in yolk, flour, corn flour and grounded almond and stir mix till soft doh is formed.
Canai dan terap. / Roll out and cut to your design.
Sapu kuning telur dan hiaskan dengan hirisan badam. / Glaze and sprinkle with sliced almond.
Bakar dalam ketuhar pada suhu 180 degree Celcius selama 12-15 minit atau sehingga masak. / Bake under 180 Degeree Celcius for 12-15 minutes.

Sarang Semut RM19/bekas (50 pcs)Yang bawah ni sweedish cookies, hasil buatan kawan yang dok Sweeden. Tapi dia buat kat sini sbb dia balik ke sini sementara. Kalau berkenan, cepat2 bgtau... no tipon ada kat sebelah kanan tu...
