Popcorn

Hello... long time no see, sorry so busy me... Here, snack for you... Pop! Pop! Pop!  It's Popcorn timeeee!!!

Let's see how to prepare your own delicious homemade popcorn.
1/2 cup of dried corn kernel (special for popcorn)
50 ml corn oil
1 tbsp butter

heat up the oil in the pan to maximum and melt the butter.

spread the kernel evenly, reduce the heat and cover the pan with the lid.

Listen to the 'pop' until no more 'pop' is heard.

Now, your popcorn is done!!!

Oppsss!!! Lets prepare the caramel, so that our popcorn will taste more better.
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsps butter

Melt sugar to caramel (browning)
Add butter to melt and mix well.  At this point you can add a tablespoon of honey (if you like).   Let the mixture turn a little bit browning before we fold the popcorn in.

Quickly fold in the popcorns and mix well.

It' ready to pop in your mouth.  ;-)

Kek Span Baldu Merah (Red Velvet Sponge Cake)


Percubaan berani mati menderhaka pada resipi asal. Sorry beb... saja jer, wa suka jalan pintas... huhuhu... buat seperti kek span biasa jer, di saluti dengan cream cheese frosting. Tapi my point of view, kalau guna shortcut macam ni, frosting tu kena kurangkan gula. Too sweet to my anak tekak. Salah sendiri jugak, yang diikut resipi mat saleh tu sapa suruh, walhal sendiri punya resipi cheese frosting sedang elok jer.

Kek Span Baldu Merah
250 gm tepung campuran kek span coklat
4 biji telur
50 ml air
1 sudu teh cuka
50 ml minyak sayur
pewarna merah secukupnya

Satukan tepung, telur dan air dalam mangkuk pengadun.
Sebatikan adunan dengan kelajuan minima utk 1 minit. Tambahkan cuka.
Pukul kelajuan maximum hingga adunan kembang dan gebu, bertukar warna kepada lebih cerah dan pucat.
Adunan yang cukup kembang dan gebu akan membentuk seperti tanduk, pegerakan untuk jatuh ke bawah sangat lambat, masukkan minyak dan kacau dengan spatula hingga rata.
Tambahkan pewarna merah. Kacau sebati.
Masukkan ke dalam loyang, hentak beberapa kali supaya dapat mengeluarkan gelembung udara yang terperangkap.
Bakar 170 darjan Celcius selama 40 minit.
Bila dah masak, keluarkan dari oven dan telangkupkan di atas redai. Biar sejuk.
Sedia untuk dihias.

Siap dimekap.

My Mexican Bun

I've tried this most people's favorite - Mexican Bun. Just use any sweet bun or sweet dough recipe. Fill in with cubed butter and sprinkle with sugar. Close the edge properly and neatly. Topped the buns with coffee paste toppings.

This is my version of Mexican Bun's Topping

100g flour
100g butter/margarine
100g sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp cappucino emulco
Mix all together. Using piping bag, pipe as circle direction from inside to outside.

Sausage Bun

Emmm... yum! yum!

Meat Curry Bun

Suitable for any Sweet Dough recipe, just try it...
For fillings:
1 kg potatoes - diced
400g mince meat
1 pack meat curry powder
3 tbsp blended chillies
1/2" ginger
4 shallots
2 cloves garlic salt to taste
1/2 cup mild tamarind juice
sugar
water
4 tbsp cooking oil

Heat cooking oil in a pan. Pound shallots, garlic and ginger. Stir fry chillies, salt and pounded ingredients in hot oil. Add in curry powder, stir well. Put in mince meat and mix well. Drop in potatoes, water, tamarind juice and sugar. Cook until the water disappear and the potatoes are really done. Ready to use.

Sardine Bun

Use any sweet dough recipe for the bun...

For fillings:
1 can sardine
1 big onion
1 red chillie
Mayonaise

Add all ingredients and mix well. Ready to use.

Cream Layered Cake

Hello everyone!!! Let's learn how to layer a cake with freshcream. So, in the future, let your family, guests and everyone taste your very fresh, decorated cake serve just from your tiny kitchen. No more from the bakery...

1) A whole sponge cake
2) Cut horizontally into 3 pcs3) Sprinkle with syrup - to keep the cake moist4) Spread freshcream on the first layer5) Sprinkle with chopped fruits (canned mandarin orange as shown in the picture) and combine the next layer on top
6) Do step 3 - step 5 to the 2nd layer and combine the last layer7) Coat the whole cake with cream and decorate as desire. 8) Emmmm... yum! yum! 9) Peach Layered Cake
